This year’s program dates are June 12-July 14.

The academic curriculum is for Marion County students who will be in Grades 1 - 9 in the 2023-2024 school year. There is no qualifying criteria to join the program.

Yes! The academic component of the program has built in breakfast, breaks, and lunch. We are working with community partners and school operations’ teams to ensure that every student has meals offered to them.

Learning Labs are strongly encouraged to provide transportation. The availability of transportation depends upon which site you choose to attend.

The Labs will be offered at both schools and community learning sites in the greater Indianapolis area. The purpose is to offer the program in a variety of environments and locations, so that at least one fits your family's needs. Each site offers unique expertise and offerings in their enrichment programming and design.

The curriculum does not include high school students. Rising 9th graders will be provided a deep, rigorous program reinforcing standards from 8th grade in preparation for a strong start to high school.

For full impact, we want students to participate 5 days per week for the full 5 weeks of the program given the rigor and intentionality of the curriculum. We want to ensure that students build relationships with their teachers and get comfortable at their sites, so they have a joyful experience and access the best opportunity this summer. We do expect that students participate in the full program.

Yes! We anticipate Summer Learning Labs taking place in a number of district and charter schools in Marion County. Decatur Township and Indianapolis Public Schools are two districts partnering with us in 2023. We will have sites selected and shared in early April.

After the academic portion of the day, students will have the opportunity to engage in a number of different enrichment activities from science to art to physical education and community based projects.
